These terms govern your use of the Boopsee mobile app ("the Service"), operated by Pet Tech Labs Pvt. Ltd. ("we", "us") from Mumbai, India. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them.
Boopsee is not a veterinary service and does not provide veterinary advice. Health logs, AI-generated insights, chat responses, and scanned-record summaries are for informational and organizational purposes only. They are not a diagnosis, treatment recommendation, or substitute for professional veterinary care. If your pet is unwell, contact a licensed veterinarian. In an emergency, contact an emergency veterinary clinic immediately.
Parts of the Service use artificial intelligence: scanning documents, the Boop chat, health insights, and record summaries. AI output can be incomplete or wrong. For example, values extracted from a scanned record may be misread. Always verify important information against the original document and with your veterinarian.
If you use voice input, your speech is transcribed by your device's own speech service, which is Apple's on iPhone and Google's on Android. That service receives the audio under its own terms; we receive only the text it returns.
You sign in with a Google or Apple account and must be at least 18 years old. Indian law treats anyone under 18 as a child, and Boopsee is not built to obtain or verify parental consent, so we do not knowingly allow accounts for under-18s. If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 18, we will delete it.
You are responsible for activity under your account. You can delete it at any time from Profile → Danger Zone, which permanently removes your data, or by writing to us if you have already uninstalled. Deletion is described in full on our account deletion page.
You own the information you add to Boopsee: pet profiles, logs, documents, and messages. You grant us the limited licence needed to store and process that content solely to provide the Service, including processing by our AI provider as described in the Privacy Policy. This licence exists only to run the Service and ends when you delete the content or your account. Only upload documents you have the right to use.
If you send us a suggestion or an idea for the app, we may use it without owing you anything for it. We mention this only so nobody is surprised; it does not give us any rights over the pet information described above.
We send a welcome message when you create your account, and occasional messages about your account or about important changes to the Service. These are part of the Service.
Emails about caring for your pet, new features, and Boopsee news are sent only if you asked for them. That box is never ticked for you, and agreeing to these terms does not sign you up. You can turn it on or off at any time in Profile → Settings → Privacy & Data.
Push notifications and reminders are controlled by you, in the app and in your device settings.
Boopsee relies on services we do not operate: Google and Apple for sign-in, Google's Gemini API for AI features, your device's speech service for voice input, Open-Meteo for weather, and Resend for email. Your use of the Service is also subject to their terms, and we are not responsible for their acts or omissions. The Privacy Policy explains what each one receives.
Don't misuse the Service: no attempting to break, overload, or reverse-engineer it, no uploading unlawful content, and no using it to harm others.
We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these terms or that we reasonably believe is being used unlawfully. Except where the breach is serious or we are required to act immediately, we will tell you first and give you a chance to put it right. If you think we got it wrong, write to us at the address below and a person will look at it again.
If your account is terminated, your data is deleted on the same basis as if you had deleted the account yourself. You may also stop using the Service at any time, for any reason, by deleting your account.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for decisions made in reliance on information in the app, including AI-generated content. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim (currently, the app is free, so this amount is zero).
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded under Indian law, including your rights as a consumer under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
We may modify or discontinue features, and we may update these terms. If we make material changes we will update this page and note the new effective date. Continuing to use the app after changes take effect means you accept them. If you do not accept them, you can delete your account.
These terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. The courts at Mumbai, Maharashtra have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of them, except that nothing here takes away any right you have to bring a complaint before a consumer forum where you live.
